Holds Masters degrees in English and International Relations from the University of Peshawar (Pakistan)
Assigned as Consul General of Pakistan, Vancouver since June 2025
Joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 2005
Held various positions at Headquarters (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad):
- Assistant Director looking after the desks of China and later South-East Asia & Pacific (2005-2009)
- Deputy Chief of Protocol (2012-15)
- Director General Middle East Division followed by Audit Division and Crisis Management Unit (2022-25)
Held Diplomatic Assignments as:
- Third Secretary/Second Secretary at Embassy of Pakistan Kuwait (2009-12)
- Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Pakistan, Madrid (2015-18)
- Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission, High Commission for Pakistan, Kuala Lumpur (2018-22)
